Fall fashion collections are often the most favored by consumers and are certainly my favorite. When you think of winter, I am sure you all start thinking of woolen clothes and that’s something that allured me to write for the fashion lovers.
Winter fabrics are rich in color and texture and yet are made lighter for the mild fall days. Since the colors are typically neutral, they are easy to mix and match and by using your creativity, you can make your own new fashion statement. But more importantly, fall fashion is about layering and I love a layered look. When it gets cooler in the evenings or as the season progresses, you can throw on a sweater or jacket or both. You don't have to spend a fortune to look stylish either. The following 7 men's fall wardrobe must haves will not only carry you through this fall and winter but seasons to come.
Cardigan
This is not one of your chunky sweaters. It's a different kind of sweater that has a slimmer, more modern cut that you can wear at the office or on a date, I guess anywhere you want and good thing is, it’s comfortable, warm and definitely it will help you escalate your winter look. It's thin enough to wear over a dress shirt and underneath a jacket. It can even be worn over your favorite tee with a pair of jeans. It's one of the most multipurpose items you can have in your attire. Try one made out of light weight merino wool or cashmere and that has a double zipper so you unzip the bottom when you are sitting. And for an extra kick, try a cardigan with small pockets or some sort of patch on the elbows.
Note: Try V-neck cardigan this winter with bright color Tee’s underneath and if like something with hood that super cool. Cardigan with hood and front zip are easier to wear and definitely it’s easy for anyone to carry.
Pinstriped/Woolen Pants
Pinstripes are classic. Perfect for formal or more casual occasions, the detailing on pinstriped pants spices up what otherwise might be an ordinary ensemble. It doesn't matter what you go with--navy with gray pinstripes, gray with brown pinstripes, or black with any color of pinstripe, they are all good. Pinstripe just not only looks good, it also helps you to look tall. This winter, try woolen pant with flat front even better if you could ensemble with nice loafer shoes. And for a modern look, try matching them with a fun striped shirt or with gray or black cardigan.
Striped Shirts
Every designer and manufacturer has come out with some sort striped shirt or another. Just get one. Well if you want to be more specific with stripe shirt, you can try some good and bright colors, and try vertical stripe this will make you look tall and I am sure will love this trick. Stripe shirt can be really fun; I often wear them in formal wears as well with my jeans. It can be worn independently with jeans, with a suit or under a sweater. Remember, fall is about layering and from bold and thick stripes to thin ones; it's a good look that you will find easy to incorporate into many ensembles. So try experimenting, let’s see how good you are with your fashion sense.
Blazer/Sports Jacket
Well blazer/sports jacket were well seen from last winter and I am still not done with them. This cool blazer is definitely a must-have item, and the styles available really give blazers a life of their own. You can find some with patch pockets and/or elbow patches, others with big lapels and double-sided vents, but they are all a revival of retro looks. If you have a pair for sports jackets, I want you to try something new. Take you sports jacket to local tailor and have one custom made with good fabric, you can get lots of winter fabrics for jackets, try some custom design jackets and choose a nice wool or wool and cashmere combination fabric, and I bet this will be really a good investment for your winter wardrobe. Don't go wild with the color though; choose a neutral tone that can easily be worn with jeans and dressier trousers as well as a dress shirt, with a printed tee or with your favorite stripe shirt underneath. It has so much versatility.
Flat-Front Twill Pants
Pick up some twill flat-front pants--they are a great, simple addition which will go with just about everything. And they come in an array of colors and patterns to boot. Go for straight-legged version whose fabric features a textured look. They are great for a night out with your friends, with anything from a turtleneck to a printed tee, or for a more casual day at the office, with a button-down shirt or a merino wool sweater.
Jeans
Jeans has become a ` noticed jeans have taken a stronger role in our wardrobe. And it seems every few months a new, high end jeans company pops up. I must add that some of the prices these jeans are fetching are quite steep; even Gap, Hollister, American Eagle have a high end, pricier line. In terms of color, we've seen everything from dark to light washes, but one thing is for certain--the washed-out, worn-in look is here to stay. Since there is so much variety there is no excuse not to pick up a pair that enhances your best features. More importantly, they can be paired with just about anything. Choose well and you just can't go wrong.
Scarf/Muffler
I am sure nobody forgets scarves in the winter as we all need one. Get a long, dark scarf and don’t wait till the temperature plunges below zero to wear it. Skip the parka and pair it with a suit or a sport coat and jeans. If you want to add some spice with your fashion trick, try new patterns like vertical or horizontal stripe scarves in different colors and wrinkled scarves. And if you want to give some sophisticated touch in your look go for cashmere, there are loads of designs and pattern with cashmere and these are really warm.
